Bini Marguerite

She is 14 years old and in the 5th grade. She comes from the village of Siedja, 15 km from Tanda. Her parents are farmers and have 8 children.

She is studying with a lot of difficulty, and it is with the idea of guaranteeing her a brighter future that we have taken charge of her schooling at the boarding school in Tanda.

Hien Pascal

It was during a mission in Tanda (Ivory Coast) with the 1040i association that Niyamas for Yogafrica met a young 11 year old child abandoned by his family under the pretext that he was a burden for them because he was blind.

Touched by his situation, we operated on him to restore his sight. Pascal can now see completely clearly with one eye and we have taken charge of his twition at Rejoice Bilingual Academy and the boarding school in Tanda where he is fighting for his future.

Kra Afissatou

She is 17 years old, in the 5th grade and comes from Siedja, 15 km from Tanda. Her delay in attending school is due to the fact that for her biological parents, who are Moslems, a woman's place is in the home.

Her uncle Osei Fernand, a farmer, put her in school after he realised that her biological father had no intention of doing so. Her uncle could no longer afford to send her to school, so he called for help. That's how she was recommended to us by Pastor Paul. We have now taken over her schooling at the boarding school in Tanda.

Ouattara Abdoul Razak

At the age of 12, his schooling was catastrophic due to a lack of school supplies and parental guidance. He was raised by his elderly, unemployed maternal grandmother. While his friends with whom he started school are in the sixth grade, he is back in the third grade.

We have therefore taken charge of his schooling and thanks to your support, he has joined the boarding school in Tanda, where he receives the follow-up he needs.

Lammé Pethuel

He is 12 years old, his father is a welder and his mother a housewife. He was born in Tanda, is of Togolese origin and is the third child in a family of six children. He is a very endearing child, but made vulnerable by the precarious situation of both parents.

Pethuel is in the 6th grade. In 2022 it will be 5 years that his schooling is supported by Niyamas for Yogafrica.

Mawa Bamba

She is 8 years old and will start school in 2021. Mawa has no mother and lives with her grandmother who sells traditional medicines. Mawa's father is in prison because he has been wrongly accused of theft.

She was recommended to us by AIM (Association Imagine le Monde), so Niyamas for Yogafrica took over her schooling.

Konan Sarah

She is 14 years old, in the fourth grade. She is fatherless and lives with her mother Mrs. Ando, her brother Isaac (11) and her sister Ruth (6). In 2017 their father died of an illness he could not afford to treat. They had to leave their home due to a lack of resources and found refuge with a church that provided them with a courtyard in exchange for the maintenance of the church - she received 2000 cfa/month, which she used for daily food. Mrs Ando has no family support.

In April 2020, the church told Mrs Ando that she would have to leave the premises, as the church had plans to renovate. The pastor has agreed to take in the three children, and Mrs Ando herself is staying with a "sister" of the church who has associated her with her business of selling attiéké. She hopes that this activity will enable her to find accommodation.

Sarah was recommended to us by AIM (Association Imagine le Monde) and Niyamas for Yogafrica took over her schooling.
